    How We Operate

    What this sector actually requires

Cleaning a facility in this category carries obligations a generic janitorial scope doesn't cover. These are the ones we build into the program.

    01

    Trading-hour scheduling

Work runs overnight or before opening so sales floors are never obstructed during business hours.

    02

    Entryway and glass detail

First impressions are the entrance: glass, track, mats and thresholds are detailed on every visit.

    03

    Restroom standards

Public restrooms are the most common source of retail complaints and are inspected against a per-visit checklist.

    04

    Slip and fall reduction

Correct floor pads, wet-floor signage and dry-time discipline to reduce liability exposure.

    Our Method

How we clean retail & grocery

Retail cleaning is measured by customers, not by facilities managers, and customers notice a narrow set of things: the entrance, the restroom, the floor and whether anything is sticky. The method concentrates labor on exactly those and keeps every machine off the sales floor during trading hours.

    1. Work the closed window, not the open one

The main clean runs overnight or before opening so the sales floor is never obstructed and no customer walks past a mop bucket. We work to your alarm and key-holder procedure so no manager has to stay behind or come in early to let a crew in.

    2. Entrance detailed every visit

Glass, door hardware, tracks, thresholds and matting are detailed on every single visit rather than on a rotation. The entrance is where a customer forms their opinion of how clean the store is, and it is also where most of the soil enters the building.

    3. Restrooms to a per-visit checklist

Public restrooms are the largest single source of retail complaints, so they run against an explicit checklist with fixture-count workloading, dedicated color-separated equipment and restocking owned as part of the visit rather than assumed.

    4. Floors matched to substrate and traffic

Sales floors get auto-scrubbing on a frequency set by traffic, with the pad and chemistry matched to the substrate. Polished concrete gets burnished, never waxed. VCT gets a burnishing cycle that pushes the next full strip further out, which is where the real cost saving sits.

    5. Slip exposure treated as a liability control

Correct pad selection, dry-time discipline and wet-floor signage that stays up until the surface is genuinely dry are written into the scope. In a public-facing space this is risk management, not housekeeping, and it belongs in the document.

    6. Multi-store reporting consolidated

Chains run under one agreement and one insurance program with a per-store scope, and JANI-QC reporting can be pulled per location or across the portfolio so a district manager can see which store is drifting before a customer tells them.
